Grad transfer center Quentin Millora-Brown out of Vanderbilt visited Mason on Tuesday, April 18.

He is 6’10 and will have one year of eligibility.

Quentin started out at Rice, had a strong freshman season, and transferred to Vanderbilt for his next four.

In the 2022-23 season, Millora-Brown averaged 3.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.1 offensive rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.6 blocks while shooting 48.5% from the field and hitting a career high 59.6% of his free throws.

He had the third highest offensive rating and sixth best defensive rating for Vanderbilt last season. His raw numbers may not stick out, but it is clear that he adds to the offense in ways the box score cannot measure.

Vanderbilt as a team had an offensive rating of 106.6 compared to QMP’s rating of 115.6. That is a great sign for how much a player can contribute to the offense without directly scoring.

Quentin had somewhat of a down year with his efficiency on offense, but was extremely efficient in his previous two seasons, shooting 70.3% and 64.9% from the field in 2021 and 2022. If he can get back to those numbers, he would be incredibly solid offensively for this team.

Millora-Brown brings size, a strong post presence, and offensive rebounding to the table. If Skinn wants to run some pick and rolls, QMP would be a very solid roll-man.

Quentin is a DMV native, more specifically, a native of Lorton, Virginia. His high school, South County High School, is 18 minutes away from George Mason.  I think that this will help Mason’s chances of bringing him here.

Skinn has been able to bring DMV transfers in twice so far, let’s see if he can do it again.

I hope we can see QMP wearing green and gold next season.
