Before I start this, GO TO THIS GAME. Show our seniors some support in what will be their last game in EBA. #FillEBA
I am #Thankful4OL2 (I made this) 🙂
Let’s get it started.
With two games left to play in their schedule, George Mason (16-13, 10-6) will take on VCU (23-6, 14-2) for the first time this season at EBA.
This contest will mark the 61st meeting between the Rams and the Patriots, with Mason leading the series at home 13-11 (Mason is 20-40 overall). Again, the Patriots have only lost twice on their own court in conference play (Davidson and Du — again can I please forget about this game).
The last time the Patriots played the Rams was in the Richmond, and they were defeated by a score of 79-63. Mason stayed close throughout this game until VCU dropped three straight three pointers.
Currently sitting on their 10-6 record, Mason now sits in a tie for 5th in the conference behind Duquesne. The Patriots no longer have fate in their hands, they’ll have to get a lot of help if they want a double-bye (they have to win these next two games too).
If you want a better breakdown of the Mason seeding check out Tyler’s article below.

Breaking Down VCU
The last time I did a preview for a VCU game it was nice and it was very informative, but no. Mason lost.
If you want a more informative preview, not much has changed since the last time (for the Rams that is).
So y’all get a fun preview this time.
VCU is on a 10-game winning streak.
If they win this game it breaks a lot of records. Am I going to list any of them?
Of course not.
Why not? Because I literally don’t care.
Ok next thing.
VCU is nearing the Top 25 in the AP Poll.
Do I care? Survey Says…..
No.
Next.
Marcus Evans, De’Riante Jenkins, and Marcus Santos-Silva are still tearing up the A10.
Do I care?
I mean yeah, cuz they’re a hard bunch to beat. The Patriots should pay attention to them more.
Next.
Am I still salty about the loss against the Rams last time?
Not really.
I just want this team to win.
Breaking Down George Mason
After a tough loss to SLU, Mason needs to get back on track. This team can perform better than we’ve seen in these last 4 games. Bring me back to the 7-1 in the A10 Patriots.
The two bright spots Mason has going for them are Jamal Hartwell II, who has scored 15 points in the last two contests, and Jordan Miller.
Miller has been doing great on the offensive boards, but needs a little boost on the defensive end.
Mason is one game out of third, on the other hand, they are one game out of seventh. This is a must win.

My Prediction: As much as it pains me to say, I see a Mason “L” in this one.
