Justin Begg, a 2024 prospect, is visiting Mason on June 11th. He’s a 5’11, 165-pound guard who attends Episcopal High School in Bellaire, Texas, just outside of Houston.
George Mason is expected to host 2024 3⭐️ PG @JustinBegg2 for an official visit beginning tomorrow.

Justin plays for Houston Hoops 17U, a Houston-based EYBL team with a history of producing elite talent. It is worth noting that the #1 player in the country, Tre Johnson, plays on this team as well.
The Houston guard is a three-star on both 247Sports and ESPN and has offers from Mason, Sam Houston State, Towson, and Texas State. He has said that he has been getting interest from some big-name schools, including Alabama.

Begg has ties to Mason assistant coach Mike Ekanem, who recruited him while at Sam Houston State.
GiantKiller’s very own GMURecruiting watched Justin play for Houston Hoops in person at an EYBL session in Atlanta and loved what he saw.
Coach Skinn & Coach Ekanem were courtside to watch Begg play this morning. Really impressive. Knocked down shots, created for teammates, and had a reverse lay up that kept the crowd talking.@JustinBegg2 https://t.co/GNb8ZI5Y5i

Begg averaged 9.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 45% shooting from the field and 40% from three in 24.8 minutes per game. That is extremely efficient, especially when you’re going against EYBL teams.
As you can see by his 40% shooting from three above, the Texas native has an awesome three-point shot. Every time he shoots it, you believe it is going in. He creates space for himself on the perimeter since he can get to the basket in an instant, which puts the defender in a tough spot.
Justin can be a fit for many situations since he does not need the ball in his hands to generate offense. He is very willing to play off-ball and get himself an open shot.
Begg can really do nearly everything on offense. He can be a three-level scorer, run the pick-and-roll to find an open shot for his team, and passes when he sees someone with a better opportunity to score.
Justin Begg is one of the better kept secrets in the country. I wouldn’t be surprised if he blows up over the summer and the Power 6 offers start to roll in. He’s only 17 and still has a chance to grow both his game and size. Everything about him screams elite A10 scoring guard.
This would be an awesome pickup for Tony Skinn and George Mason.
