Walker is getting a ton of attention from schools in North Carolina, with four of his eleven offers being from his home state. His most impressive offer is Wake Forest, which is in his hometown of Winston-Salem. If an ACC school wants you on their team, you’re doing something right.
Lewis is a very versatile player and can do a little bit of everything. He can hit threes, score when getting the ball at the perimeter, handle the ball well for his size, and can lead and facilitate the fast break. When he has a smaller defender on him, he can use his body to overwhelm the opponent and get an easy basket.
Walker’s main way of scoring is from the post. While 6’6 may not be as tall as your conventional post scorer, he can still get it done. He’s very dense, being 240 pounds, which gives him leverage when he has a taller, leaner defender on him.
A major plus about the Winston-Salem native is that he would rather pass than take a bad shot, which is not something you see with a lot of high schoolers. If he is doubled, he immediately looks for the open man rather than trying to shoot over multiple people. He makes the winning play rather than the one with highlight potential.
If Lewis commits, he would be the first 2024 prospect to commit to playing for Tony Skinn and your George Mason Patriots.
