HOW BOUT THOSE GEORGE MASON PATRIOTS EVERYBODY! Now that is the type of win that we all like to see. Mason came back from a very cold shooting performance for the first 30 minutes of the game and got it done in the last 10 minutes.

Josh Oduro dominated down low all game, scoring 27 points and grabbing 14 boards. Oduro also stayed out of found trouble, commit 0 fouls the entire game while drawing 13 fouls in his own right. That sounds like an A-10 Player of The Year performance to us.

D’Shawn Schwartz was excellent again in being Oduro’s wingman, getting 19 points, and hitting three crucial three pointers in the second half that brought Mason back in it from 10 down. Ronny Polite added in 8, including two crucial layups in the second half.

Polite also started today’s game. When I asked Coach English about that he responded with this, “I just wanted to see what it looked like. When I talk about spirit and ownership, he does that in a major way. He has a great maturity about his game and his savyness.”

George Washington was led by Joe Bamisile with 18, but GW struggled with fouls tonight, with Ricky Lindo Jr fouling out with 3:26 left to go in the second half. Mason also out rebounded the Colonials 48 to 30 on the night.

With this victory, Mason jumps GW in the A-10 standings into 7th place, something to pay attention to with the A-10 tournament in D.C less than two weeks away. Mason finishes out the season with a game away at Davidson Wednesday, and then a return home for the season finale against UMass March 5th.
