George Mason fell 69-57 to Saint Louis tonight. It was bad.
I don’t have a ton to say, and I have 3 midterm exams tomorrow, so I’m gonna keep this short.
The Billikens started the game on a 9-0 spurt. It took the Patriots a while to get out of the starting gate, but ultimately Mason responded with a 25-14 run to take a 25-23 lead late in the half. George Mason led 29-28 at halftime.
Then the wheels fell off the bus. Just… *sigh*
Saint Louis has out-scored Mason 23-6 in the second half, now leading 51-35.
AJ Wilson just fouled out with 6:58 left to play. It’s been a rough night in Fairfax for the Patriots.

But Mason didn’t roll over and die then. In fact, they went on a 14-2 run to make it a 53-49 game with 2:50 left. But that was all they had tonight.
Some thoughts from this one…
Tonight sucked. Really sucked.
Mason finished with 18 turnovers, 11 in the second half alone.
AJ Wilson finished with just six points and fouled out with seven minutes left.
Jordan Miller had 11 first half points, but only two in the second half.
As a team, Mason shot 38% from the field, and got out-rebounded 36-31.
Josh Oduro had a nice game. He finished with 11 points. So that’s nice.
I don’t have many other nice things to say about this one. Mason closes the regular season on Saturday at Fordham. Please don’t lose to Fordham.
