On Saturday, George Mason (13-7, 2-5 A10) traveled to Davidson (10-9, 4-3 A10) in a closely fought battle.
In the first half, Davidson scored 27 points, going 9-25 from the field, 6-16 from behind the arc, and grabbed 16 rebounds in the process.
Mason scored 25 points, going 10-30 from the field, a 5-15 from three and recorded 21 rebounds.
The three-point shooting throughout this game was what it should be from these two teams. Mike Jones and Jon Axel Gudmundsson combined for all of Davidson’s 6 three-point field goals.
This was what Davidson is all about only making 6 threes in one half and this was a rare game for Mason in which they could get the three-ball to drop… sorta.

Mason Loses 68-53 to Davidson
Some notable things from this game:
- Jordan Miller had another one of his “off” nights, he went 0-9 from the field, 0-4 from three, recording only 1 point. If Mason wants to contend against the A10 toughest teams Miller needs to be able to step up, and that didn’t happen tonight.
- AJ Wilson has become a versatile player when he’s hot. In this game, he went 7-14 from the field, 2-5 from behind the arc, 2-2 from the charity stripe, recorded 6 rebounds, and totaled 18 points. Here are some clips from today:

- The three-point shooting was decent in this game. Davidson was themselves, but Mason shot well only in the first half.
- Javon Greene had a sub-average game today. He finished with 12 points going 5-17 from the floor, 2-7 from three, and recorded 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
He also had this filthy layup in the second half:

- Thanks again to KMN for sponsoring our trip down to Davidson!
The Patriots head back home for URI on Tuesday and the Bonnies next Saturday.
See you then.
See you there.
