George Mason Being “Considered” For The 2017 NIT

For the last two weeks, George Mason has been under consideration for the NIT according to NYC Buckets’ NIT Bracketology.

Currently, only two Atlantic 10 teams are being predicted to get bids to the NIT; Rhode Island and Richmond, which is considered a NIT bubble team. George Mason and St. Bonaventure are both under consideration along with some low ranking power fives and high mid majors.

The current NIT Bracketology accounts for Mason’s recent three game losing streak, but a win against Duquesne Wednesday and a win or two in the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Tournament could help our case for a possible NIT or CBI/CIT bid. Not bad for Paulsen’s second year. #TrustTheProcess
