The NBA D-League team, Erie BayHawks, has drafted Shevon Thompson in the 2nd Round as the 33rd overall pick.
Shevon is one of six players drafted to the Pennsylvania based Orlando Magic affiliated, BayHawks. Thompson was invited to the New Orleans Pelicans Mini-Camp, but it didn’t yield any further opportunities for Shevon within that organization. He also participated in practices and camps with other teams like the Houston Rockets and the Orlando Magic. He spent his summer training with IMG Academy along with Retin Obasohan (Alabama), Quenton DeCosey (Temple) and others.

The current Erie BayHawks roster includes players from Kansas, Georgetown, La Salle, Michigan State, and others. Looking at the BayHawks schedule, the closest game to the DMV is their game against the Delaware 76ers (Friday January 06, 2016) — a two hour drive from George Mason.
